Featured Small Works

I’m pleased to share a selection of small works that brings together three interconnected parts of my practice: the observational pieces created during the International Strada Challenge, the constructed still-lifes built from paper twine, roping, and simple studio materials, and the geometric abstractions shaped by my ongoing linear visual language.

Painting from life each day during Strada reconnected me with an intimate observational rhythm—quiet scenes from my gardens, the structure of my property, and the shifting light across familiar spaces. Those daily paintings naturally opened the door to the constructed still-lifes, which translate the same ideas of structure, movement, and spatial clarity into tactile arrangements built in the studio.

Shown alongside the geometric abstractions, these works reveal the visual relationships that run through all three approaches: shape, line, color, figure–ground shifts, and a shared sense of balance. The constructed still-lifes, in particular, bridge the gap between the realism of the Strada pieces and the distilled clarity of the geometric works, blurring the line between observation and abstraction.

Each painting is an original oil work priced at $250. Orders placed by December 18th will arrive before Christmas. If you’d like additional images or help choosing a piece, I’d be happy to assist.

Warmly,
Paula
