This painting continues my focus on circles, color, and the shifting relationship between figure and ground as the background and foreground switch roles through the reversal of color. This creates a clear visual exchange between the two spaces and the subject they hold. A linear gradient arcs across the composition and gives the circle a sense of movement, as if it’s traveling along an incline. The work is compact and grounded in geometric clarity. Though small in scale, it carries a steady presence through its structure and focused use of color.
