Suspension II continues my interest in circles, color, and the shifting relationship between figure and ground. Three blue rings move outward from a central core, each one defining space while also allowing the background to come forward. This exchange between foreground and negative space is intentional, creating a simple but active visual rhythm. A single diagonal line, painted with a warm gradient, cuts across the rings and adds a clear directional element. The turquoise and blue fields keep the composition open and direct, letting the structure of the circles remain the focus. The piece is small in scale and grounded in straightforward geometric clarity.
